| Directions |

Directions to the falls:
- From Walhalla, drive northwest on SC 28 for approximately 8 miles and bear right (north) onto SC 107.
- Drive about 8.7 miles and park at a pull off on the right side of the highway. It is marked by several yellow posts, and is just before the Cherry Hill Recreation Area sign.
- Start your hike on the Winding Stairs Trail. The trailhead is not well marked, but facing the yellow posts, it begins to the right (south). Don't hike through the yellow posts or back across SC 107, this will lead back to the Chattooga River.
- At 0.2 mile the rust-blazed Winding Stairs trail turns right. At this same point, a path from the Cherry Hill Recreation Area enters from the left.
- From this junction, continue hiking south. At 0.9 mile, the trail makes a sharp left.
- Hike another 0.3 mile to a clearing and a bend in the trail. From here, you should hear the falls and may be able to see them as long as the foliage is not too dense. Descend through the mountain laurel to reach the creek, and a view of the falls.
