Directions to the falls:
- From the junction of NC 28 and US 64 in Highlands, head South on NC 64 for 4.1 Miles.
- Turn left onto Rick Gap Road and follow it for 0.6 mile.
- Turn right onto FR 4567 and drive another 1.75 miles to a gated logging road on the right.
- Park here and follow the logging road for 0.2 mile, the trail departs to the left here.
- Follow the trail 0.5 mile to the brink of the falls.
- The scramble path to the base is barely discernable to the right just past the fire ring at the top of the falls.
