Directions to the falls:

  1. From the junction of SR 28 and US 64 in Highlands, head East on Horse Cove Road.
  2. Follow Horse Cove Road for 7.1 miles to a bridge over the Chattooga River.
  3. Continue 1.1 miles to a sharp left turn around a ridge and park in a safe place on the side of the road.
  4. If you pass a gated logging road on the left side of the road, you have gone 0.1 mile too far.
  5. Strike out into the woods toward the creek, this is a tough bushwhack down to the falls.
